The Angra Om Ya are the old gods, those who were displaced by God. There are twelve Angra, six male and six female. (This has been upgraded to 13 in the book The Getaway God.)
The Angra created this universe, and God tricked them into being exiled to another dimension. They can only return with a full summoning, but they can leak pieces of themselves into this dimension.
Father Traven was excommunicated from the Church because he translated their bible.
Demons are fragments of the Angra Om Ya, as are Sub Rosa.
Meaning[]
In the original language, "Angra" means "great" or "grievous", and "Om Ya" means "God".
